First Baptist Church in Benton is graciously hosting a Chattanooga mobile food pantry on Wed. March 18 3:30-4:30. If you are healthy, please message Courtney Pippenger or Leah Carroll to sign up for a work shift. We will begin packing Tues. We will schedule only a few folks to work at a time.
Due to the need for safety with contagious illnesses and the fact that many of those attending are elderly or disabled, there are some changes:
1. A volunteer will write your information on the form. There will be no passing around of pens/clipboards. Expect wait times to increase.
2. You will still drive up to the food area, but you are responsible for getting the food from the food area to your car.
3. You must be extremely patient. This is a new site, and we will be working with only a few volunteers at a time to limit interaction.
