Spring is upon us and many gardeners will be-gin dreaming of those fresh summer vegetables that will be harvested form their gardens. You may be one of those gardeners that has a cabinet full of seeds just waiting to be put into the ground or you may be a beginner gardener that wants to get in on all the action that comes with gardening. Either way the UT -TSU Extension office is here to help by offering a Seed Starter and Seed Swap April 8th starting at 5:00 PM at the Extension Office in Benton. Participants will learn different techniques of starting seed that will provide transplants for your summer garden. Participants will also have the chance to talk to other gardeners about the seed they plant and be able to swap seeds with others. The UT -TSU Extension office invites local gardeners who would like to swap seeds to attend. Each Participant will receive a free seed starter kit! Anyone wishing to attend are ask to register by calling the UT-TSU Extension Office at 423-338-4503 or drop by the Polk County Extension office located at 6042 Hwy. 411 in Benton.
