7/16 The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Vessel Safety Checks East Parksville Boat Ramp

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will be at the East Parksville Boat Ramp Tomorrow, Saturday July 16th from 9 AM until Noon performing Vessel Safety Checks. There is zero chance of a citation or getting into trouble, this to make sure that your boat meets safety requirements and recommend changes. We will also talk about life jackets and proper use. A successful passing of a safety check will get you an annual sticker. That sticker means, during Coast Guard or TWRA checks on the water, the boarding officer will know that you have completed the exam. Kayaks and Paddle Craft are also highly encouraged to be checked, talk about float plans, late arrivals and requirements for kayaks on bodies of water.
