The Food Distribution is a hunger relief program serving Polk and surrounding counties with a special emphasis on the under-served population. The unique aspect of this program is there is no restriction based on income or geographical location.
The food packages supplied by People Helping People contain dietary staples often not found in clients’ diets, however, the food packages fight more than hunger and nutrition alone. It is a means for clients to improve their quality of life without having to choose between food and/or other basic needs.
The Food Distribution Program at People Helping People plays a vital part in the health and wellness of our county and surrounding counties seniors, families, and children children’s lives.
Monthly Dates
1st Monday & 3rd Thursday of each month
1 bag per household/address once a month
