This event is all about the basics of raising a pig for yourself/family. My mission is to provide education to anyone wanting to raise their own livestock, many just don’t know where to start. This event will have farm tours starting at 5, this is a walking tour of our 63 acres. Then a BBQ Pork plate will be served at 6, while visitors enjoy the food, I’m going to discuss our failures in raising pigs. So many mistakes to talk about… then we will tour the pig palace and That barn where we keep the pigs in a No Smell Indoor Pen. The event will end with a demonstration on how to castrate small piglets, you don’t have to attend this option.
