Join us at Hiwassee/Ocoee Rivers State Park for Junior Ranger Camp 2021! Camp dates are July 21st to the 23rd. Drop off time is 8:45 am and pick up time is at 12:00 pm in the group camp area. Parents are asked to arrive the first morning at drop off to fill out all required forms. This camp is limited to 15 spots for children between the ages of 8 and 12. What does Junior Ranger Camp consist of?
This three day camp is designed to help you become a Tennessee State Park Junior Ranger! Throughout these 3 days, we will learn about water safety, the career of a Park Ranger, History, medicinal and edible plants, wildlife, and so much more! On the last day of camp, all Junior Rangers will participate in a stewardship project, followed by a graduation ceremony at 10:30 am, with lunch provided. Parents are welcome and encouraged to the attend graduation ceremony and celebrate your child’s accomplishments!
What should I bring/wear to Junior Ranger Camp?
Those participating in camp should wear sturdy shoes, bring water, plenty of snacks, a backpack, bug spray, and sunscreen.
