Hiwassee River Clean Up – TN Serves Saturday

This September, we are looking forward to another month long partnership with the First Lady’s Office. The Monthly Service Challenge encourages the public to serve in their local community based upon a new mission they identify each month. At Hiwassee/Ocoee Rivers State Park, we will be doing a river clean up along the Hiwassee. This river is beautiful and abundant in aquatic life.It is protected by the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1968. We would like to keep it that way with your help! Join a Ranger at the park office to carpool to the Hiwassee River for this clean up. Bring along work gloves, wear sturdy shoes, and bring along some water. Help us keep the Hiwassee river clean and protected! Spots are limited so please register beforehand.
