The Forge School Opens in Benton, TN

The Forge School is an innovative residential treatment program and school developed in response to the neurobiological needs of boys and young men. At The Forge School we combine the immersion of extraordinary outdoor experiences, empathetic and attuned individual and family counseling, and exceptional educational rigor to help build greatness beyond an education.

Through our dynamic and immersive educational goals and our commitment to our CASA model, we aim to forge healing with the joy that comes from experiencing acceptance, security, and attunement in a committed home (CASA). This holistic educational experience with tactile and engaging life skills will help facilitate a deeper understanding of each student’s core sense of self and initiate positive behavioral change.

We aim to inspire a new confidence and way of being through a shift in the lens of how our students learn. We illuminate a better way to educate young men and forge the path for mighty leadership to be formed.

A dynamic, relational and hands on learning environment is essential, especially for the male brain. Dr. Michael Gurian, a leading researcher in studying gender specific learning style differences states, “Boys do their best work when teachers establish authentic purpose and meaningful, real-life connections.” The Forge School encourages our student to continually test their skills and to push forward regardless of perceived success or failure, which builds resilience and grit.
